LeadingAge Awards Over $270K in Vaccine Grants via HHS Partnership

Continuing its partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), LeadingAge, the association of nonprofit providers of aging services, today announces the members who will receive grants totalling more than $270,000 from the agency’s We Can Do This public education campaign, with more to be distributed in the near future.

“These grants help ensure the health and safety of everyone in our member communities,”  said Katie Smith Sloan, president and CEO of LeadingAge. “Our members are committed to protecting the health and safety of the people they care for and serve.”

LeadingAge, HHS Grants Program in McKnight's

McKnight’s Senior Living highlights LeadingAge’s new COVID vaccine grant initiative with HHS’ We Can Do This campaign (“Providers to Receive $250,000 for COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics“), the latest in our ongoing efforts focused on keeping older adults and communities healthy.  Quoting LeadingAge president and CEO Katie Smith Sloan, “Even as the COVID public health emergency nears its end, aging services providers remain committed to protecting the health and safety of the people they care for and serve,”  the story includes the link provider members can use to request up to $15,000 to support vaccine clinic activities in their communities. Application deadline: February 24, 2023.

Updated Vaccines Grant Funding Available Now!

As part of our ongoing efforts to support members, LeadingAge has further expanded our partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the We Can Do This campaign to provide LeadingAge members a new grant opportunity for executing vaccine clinics in an effort to boost updated vaccine uptake for staff, residents, family members, and others in the community. Funds are available and HHS is anxious to see vaccine clinics start immediately.
