- Include vaccine reminders and information in checklists and discussions during care plan meetings—now and into the new year.

Family and visitor engagement
- Seasonal events. Share materials or include a speaker in programs you host, as you welcome holiday visitors to your community.
- Vaccine clinics—your own or produced with a local pharmacy. Invite a QIO or QIN representative to offer information or answer questions.
- Provide materials or post a sign at the security or reception desk for the increased number of guests this season.
- Letter/message to residents and residents’ family members
- Consider a range of respected messengers: spiritual leaders, resident community leaders, medical directors and attending physicians.
- Add fun into your announcements.
- Pick a theme song that backs up your message: We are Family, We are the Champions, Theme from Rocky (Gonna Fly Now!)
