Before joining LeadingAge Virginia, she served as the Vice President, Board Development & Member Relations at LeadingAge (national). In Melissa’s current role as President & CEO of LeadingAge Virginia, Melissa helps boards and leadership teams envision their future and develop strategies to execute on that vision, guides organizations to reimagine board engagement, supports mission, vision and values renovation and facilitates strategic planning processes. BILL BOJAN
Financial and Risk Management
Bill is a director with CliftonLarsonAllen’s Governance Advisory & Business Risk Services group and has 30 years of experience serving primarily the health care, financial institutions, and non-profit industries, both in the private sector and in an advisory capacity. In the private sector, Bill has served as a Chief Risk Officer, Chief Ethics Officer, and General Auditor for a Fortune 30 health care company, and as a board member, board chair, and governance committee chair for several large nonprofit organizations. Bill’s advisory experience extends to all aspects of an organization’s corporate governance, including: board operations and effectiveness, enterprise risk management (ERM), ethics, and internal audit. Bill has assisted the board and executive team of various organizations in staying healthy, as well as successfully getting back on track after an organizational crisis or ethical breakdown. KATIE GLOVER

Katie has been working, teaching, and volunteering in the nonprofit governance realm for more than a decade. Her knowledge and experience span the theoretical to the practical. In her capacity as principal of Open Gate Solutions, LLC, Katie helps organizations rethink their governance structures to increase board commitment and engagement; develop greater capacity in visioning and planning at both the board and organizational level; and strengthen relationships to build a culture of trust where all board members’ perspectives, ideas, and questions are valued and respected. She uses her knowledge and experience with organizational change in assisting governing boards with succession planning and leadership transition. JANE MACK
Board Development and Operations
Jane currently serves as president and CEO of Friends Services Alliance (FSA), a national association of aging services providers associated with Quakers. She has more than 20 years of experience in the health care field in roles including training and education, program development, quality assurance, and management. Prior to assuming her role at FSA she was the founder of M2 Organizational Consulting, working with nonprofit boards to strengthen their capacity in good governance. She is a Peer Reviewer for the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) Standards for Excellence. She has been a speaker at local, regional, and national conferences on best practices in nonprofit governance, and she has authored several articles and pamphlets on the topic. Jane has served on boards and as board chair for nonprofit organizations. She has taught graduate level course work in organizational systems and in various nonprofit leadership programs. OLIVIA MASTRY
Strategic Planning
Olivia transitioned her nonprofit strategy and governance consultancy in 2010 to found Collective Action Lab to support nonprofit organizations in the areas of health, well-being, aging, disability, and equity transformation, as well as organizations collaborating to accomplish social and systems change goals that they could not achieve alone. Olivia combines her training and experience in law, health administration, public health, and trauma-informed conflict resolution to support collaborators in accelerating and realizing their visions. Olivia received the 2015 Public Health Innovator Award by the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and was named the 2016 Gerontologist of the Year by the Minnesota Gerontologist Society. AMY MOSER
Board and Community Engagement
Amy is an independent consultant with Collective Action Lab and Moser Consulting. She supports clients from nonprofit start-ups to statewide initiatives in areas of strategy development, business planning, program implementation, community convening, partnership development, resource procurement and facilitation. She has over 20 years of experience leading programs, facilitating, and coaching cross-sector groups to improve outcomes for communities impacted by health and educational disparities, including nearly ten years of experience designing programming and developing strategic initiatives with groups working with or on behalf of older adults. In roles ranging from case manager to policy analyst to executive director, Amy’s eye is on strategic collaboration, intentional community involvement, and resource alignment with the goal of ensuring systems of all kinds are equitable, sustainable, and produce measurable outcomes. ANNE JIN SOO PRESTON
Board Diversity and Inclusion
Anne is principal and founder at Sahng Sahng, LLC and a member of the Collective Action Lab team. She has been consulting since 2008 and focuses on board governance, research, evaluation, and facilitation with strategy and a keen sense of systems and process development throughout. She has a diverse knowledge of and experience with community-based service needs for older adults and caregivers. Her work with facilitating consumer insight focus groups and interviews informed the resources and tools for MinnesotaHelp.Info, a website that provides resources throughout the state of Minnesota. Anne’s governance experience includes teaching as an adjunct faculty member for a Board Service Leadership/Board Practicum course at the University of Minnesota since 2017. She also leads the strategy, curriculum development, and training for Board Repair, whose mission is to create communities of practice and support for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who are interested in serving on boards.
